Chas Lotter's career as a poet has spanned over thirty years.  Well known as the soldier poet of the Rhodesian Bush War (1972-1980), Chas has shown time and again that his verse has a depth and maturity beyond the immediacy of the battlefield.  His craft has been honed over the years and this new collection shows that Lotter is deeply rooted in the African veld.  His poems range from semi-spiritual experiences to wry observations, but always there is the infinitely careful touch of an artist who knows precisely which words to choose to capture the experience and bring it, intact, to the reader.
